Product Details
Description
The 74HC174 DIP is a high-speed hex D-type flip-flop IC with a direct clear function. It consists of six edge-triggered D-type flip-flops with individual D inputs and a shared clock (CP) input. Data is transferred from the D input to the Q output on the rising edge of the clock pulse. The asynchronous master reset (MR) input allows all outputs to be reset to a low state regardless of the clock signal.
This IC operates over a wide voltage range of 2V to 6V, making it compatible with both CMOS and TTL logic families. With a typical propagation delay of 16 ns at 5V, the 74HC174 provides fast switching speeds while maintaining low power consumption. Each flip-flop in the IC can drive up to 10 LS-TTL loads and supports a maximum output current of ±25mA.
Packaged in a DIP-16 (Dual In-line Package), the 74HC174 is suitable for use in microcontroller-based designs, digital logic storage, shift registers, and data latching applications. Its ability to store and synchronize data makes it an essential component in digital electronics.
